Terms

Draft for review. Not legal advice.

These terms cover popplepoetry.com and the popple instruments on its subdomains. By using them you agree to these terms.

Your work

What you write stays yours. By saving a piece you let us store it and show it to anyone with its link, and, when it appears in a gallery, to the public on popple and in share images of it. You can take a piece down from the browser that saved it.

What not to post

  • Anything abusive, hateful, sexual, threatening, or that targets a real person.
  • Personal details: yours or anyone else's, including e-mail addresses, phone numbers and links.
  • Work that isn't yours to share, other than the public-domain material the instruments provide.
  • Advertising or spam.

We may hide any piece that breaks these rules, with or without notice.

Galleries

Where you write your own words, a person reviews a piece before it appears in a public gallery. Approval is at our discretion. Anyone can report a public piece; a report returns it to review. ELIDE's gallery shows titled poems made only from public-domain words, without review.

Public-domain material

Source texts and artworks are in the public domain as marked by the collections they come from. Copyright in public-domain works can differ between countries; check before reusing them commercially where you live.

Service

popple is offered as is. Instruments may change, pause or close. Keep your own copy of anything you care about. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss of saved work. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
